Acting side
Section titled “Acting side”Acting side is the side of a Transaction that a firm is acting for, such as purchaser or vendor. This will usually be the firm’s client.
Audit trail
Section titled “Audit trail”The audit trail is the record of what happened in a Transaction, when it happened, and who did it.
Evidence
Section titled “Evidence”Evidence is material showing that a task, review, confirmation, or external step has happened or can proceed. It may include documents, records, approvals, confirmations, and other supporting material.
External activity
Section titled “External activity”External activity means an activity happens outside Torrens or depends on an outside person, organisation, or system. Torrens may still help prepare, track, or record the step, but it does not control completion.
Initiation
Section titled “Initiation”Initiation is the initial creation of a Transaction in Torrens. It usually starts from agreement details that your firm reviews before the Transaction is created.
Integration
Section titled “Integration”An integration is a connection between Torrens and another system, service, or external channel.
Matter
Section titled “Matter”Matter means an external practice-management reference or a broader legal file outside Torrens. It is not the Torrens work unit.
Milestone
Section titled “Milestone”A Milestone is a significant checkpoint within a Workflow Stage.
Post-settlement management
Section titled “Post-settlement management”Post-settlement management is the work after settlement needed to finish the Transaction properly, including registration follow-up, final reporting, disbursement completion, evidence retention, and file closure.
Review required
Section titled “Review required”Review required means work must be reviewed and confirmed or approved before it can be relied on or take effect.
Settlement execution
Section titled “Settlement execution”Settlement execution is the Workflow Stage for recording settlement readiness, source-backed settlement facts, and the settlement outcome. Funds movement happens outside Torrens and is recorded only from external evidence, external confirmation, or practitioner confirmation.
A Task is a specific unit of work within the Transaction Workflow. It may involve action, review, confirmation, evidence capture, or coordination.
Transaction
Section titled “Transaction”A Transaction is a property conveyancing transaction recorded and managed in Torrens.
Transaction Workflow
Section titled “Transaction Workflow”The Transaction Workflow is the ordered journey of a Transaction in Torrens. It shows what happens next, who does it, what Torrens supports, and what still happens outside Torrens.
Workflow Stage
Section titled “Workflow Stage”A Workflow Stage is one of the major ordered segments of the Transaction Workflow. A Workflow Stage consists of Milestones and Tasks.
